Determining the factors affecting attitudes towards family planning among university students

Background: Within the scope of reproductive health, family planning services play a key role in gender equality and empowerment women. It is considered human right to have access these services. The literature has no study aimed at determining impact sociodemographic characteristics roles young people on their attitudes. In Turkiye where impacts patriarchal structure continue be seen, studies are only conducted with married or Methods: sample descriptive correlational comprised 1288 students receiving education undergraduate programs university Turkiye. collection data, researchers used Student Identification Form, Gender Roles Attitude Scale Family Planning Scale. order determine independent factors affecting attitudes towards among students, created linear regression model. Results: Examining Beta coefficient model used, gender, faculty grade scores affected positive direction (F=40.097, p<0.005).
